"Something that we always wanted to bring the family together, kind of be the magnet, was the pool," they shared. "We really enjoy working with Caleb and the designer," they recalled. "We brought ideas to them, and they would design the pool and then bring it to us. We'd make changes, and then finally we came to a decision."

"After all the decisions that we went through, that was exciting because we got to finally see something that we have had in our minds now started to become real!" The design incorporated various areas for lounging, jets for the kids to play in, and even facilities for basketball and volleyball. "We added in the jets primarily for the kids. That allows our grandkids to be able to jump through that," they explained. The versatility of the space was a key consideration. "It was really just set up to do different things at different times during the day and at night," allowing for everything from cookouts to quiet moments of relaxation.
The Heart of the Home
Now complete, the pool has become the heart of their home and family life. "Now our family comes here. We've got all our grandkids, we got our kids coming here, aunts and uncles, folks come over here. We spend time together in our own backyard."
The grandmother's favorite spot? "Grandma likes to sit in that corner over there, watch the kids coming in, you know." It's these small, precious moments that make a Selah pool more than just a construction project – it's a facilitator of family bonds and joyful memories.
